A breeze from Switzerland
(That's Shanghai)
Updated: 2007-09-05 11:35
With the popularity of brands such as Evian, Uriage and Clarins, the
pristine environment of the Swiss Alps is a proven source for beauty
inspiration, even in Shanghai.
Recently two of Switzerland's top beauty brands-Bellefontaine and La
Vallee-made their debut here. Bellefontaine products, utilizing pure
glacial waters and seven active plant extracts from the alpine region,
protect mature skin by helping to lighten and smooth the complexion. It
should be noted that 100 per cent Swiss-made Bellefontaine is the choice
for royal families across Europe and has been endorsed by a number of
Asian celebrities, including Andy Lau, Jackie Chan and John Lone.
The younger range, La Vallee, is aimed at 25-40 year olds and takes its
core components from two special flowers whose nectar attracts a rare
species of butterfly. The range strengthens the defensive function of the
skin to safeguard against over-stimulation and damage from the
environment. It also improves the metabolic and recovering capacity of
cells, allowing the skin to retain its youthful glow. R. M.
