Shanghai metro allows bankcards

(Shanghai Daily)
Updated: 2007-01-24 10:21

When new ticketing machines go into use at Metro stations around the
city, passengers will be able to buy tickets with bankcards, not just
coins, notes or a public transport card.

Metro officials haven't said when the new machines will go into full use,
but did say last week they will first be installed in new stations and
then added to existing stations.
